Reflection

This quarter will be the last quarter for us to show ourselves and to show what we got.
I learned a lot and I faced some challenges and difficulties in connection to this quarter's lessons and activities. I know to myself that I did my best for me to surpass those challenges and difficulties.
Last quarter, last activity, last lesson, last test, and last bonding with friends for this school year. But all of this memories will never fade in my heart. I will always remember this school year because it's one of the best S.Y. ever.

make it happen

Dream. Believe. Survive.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer.

Everyone of us wants a bright and beautiful future. We all want to become successful and have a wonderful living. But before we achieve those things in the future, we must focus first on the present.

The first thing that we must do is to have self-confidence in everything we do. Now, I will study hard for me to achieve my dream.
Before I wanted to become a teacher but now I want to become police. Being a police is hard especially I am a woman but nothing impossible as long as we're happy on what we are doing.

If I will achieve that dream, I cannot exactly say that my future is good but even though life is hard, I will to whatever it takes to achieve my dream because my dream is my future.

All of our dreams will come true, if we have the courage to pursue them, make it happen.
Just always remember to put God first in the center because we got everything we have from him and remember that he can easily take it back if we don't use it in a right way.

Change: starts with me

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”― Leo Tolstoy

“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”― C. JoyBell C.

Change starts with ourselves. We can't change the world without changing ourselves. Rumi said "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself." This is the best way for us to make a change. Changing the world is not about having a power and connections, it's about having the courage to change ourselves in
order to be a cause for a change. Everyone of us can make a change because we all have the power to control ourselves, let's not be a robot which controllable. Be yourself and change the things that is needed to be changed and improve what is right. Let's all change or improve the world by evolving, improving and developing ourselves.

If you really want to change, start with your mindset, attitude, intentions and how you speak to yourself. Real change start from the inside.

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

― Rumi

New year, new opportunities

New year, new beginnings. A new year for us to start a better life. As the new year begins, we feel that we need to make changes in our life, start on a new path, do new things, and say goodbye to old habits, problems and difficulties.

Image result for happy new year funny cartoon gif"Every moment is a fresh beginning". We will start a new life, change the wrong habits and keep up the good work. I close my eyes to old ends and open my heart to new beginnings. Every year, we are making resolutions for us to achieve this coming year. Making such things is almost becoming a tradition to us.

My New years resolution is to be me all the time and to trust myself more, because there are times that I lack some confidence which is not good especially when I was in school and it affects my grades. This year, I will change myself and improve the things that I need to.

This year looks like a great opportunity to start a new life. Let this coming year be better than all the others.

"We will open the book. It's pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called opportunity and it's first chapter is New year's day."

Be yourself!

Every quarter, I have gained new learning.
And today's quarter I learned a lot. I
learned how to show myself and to be myself. This quarter taught me that being yourself is the best asset to fulfill your dreams and to excel in everything you are doing. But still there are some things that I'm afraid of, I'm afraid that my best is not
good enough for the others especially to my parents and teachers because it makes me feel unsatisfied to myself too. But I will now be myself, trust myself more and I will show that I also can.

Moving on, I will do my very best to face every challenge. I will be stronger and I will study harder because it will be the last quarter for this school year.

Love+Peace=Christmas

December 25, is known as Christmas which is celebrated by believers of God all over the world. Christmas is the celebration of
the birth of our dear saviour, Jesus Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus & reflect on them.

Philippines is known for having the best and longest Christmas because the celebration of this season starts at the first day of September. Christmas is really the happiest season. We Filipinos celebrate this by caroling, forgiving each other, gathering all together, attending a mass which is called "misa de gallo", having noche buena and of course loving each other.

Christmas has no gender, age and status in
life. Even though you're a girl or boy, old or teenager, poor or rich, you can still celebrate Christmas. This is the day where we can be happy and for us to be as one.

The true essence of Christmas is not about the gifts that we are going to receive, not the decorations or displays on every houses. The true essence of Christmas is all about forgiving and loving each other with all our hearts.

violEND

The Council of Europe describes VAW "as a violation of human rights and a form of discrimination against women" and defines VAW as "all acts of gender-based violence that result in, or are likely to result in, physical, sexual, psychological or economic harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life.

This issue is not new to us because this has been happening since then and now. Violence is a serious case that we must all put an end because as time goes by, this will be worst and it would be harder for us to cure this problem of our society.  This can cause a lot of problems to oneself, it does not only affect women's physical and reproductive health, but specially their mental and emotional state. It has caused women to feel ashamed and lose their self-esteem. It threatens women's personal security.

Inorder to stop this, we must start from ourselves because a vaw free community starts with oneself. If you can't do it, do not expect the others to do so.

"If we are to fight discrimination and injustice against women we must start from the home for if a woman cannot be safe in her own house then she cannot be expected to feel safe anywhere." -Aysha Taryam
